Oil on aluminium-coated panel. No matter how much I adjusted this photo in Photoshop, I couldn’t get the colours to come out properly. There’s actually a lot of pink in it (especially for me — I tend to be wary of pink). The paint sits really nicely on the aluminium. Really great surface to paint on. I am definitely going to try it again. I really don’t want to create a kitsch or fairground mirror aesthetic, so I have chosen a fairly muted source image.
